Next Thursday the 12th of May, a meeting will be held between property developer Aifos and Mijas Town Hall to discuss the issue of granting planning permission. It has now been two years since the residential complex Balcón de Hipódromo, a development of Aifos Promociones Inmobiliarias, was put on the market. However, to date, building has not even begun. A total of 281 apartments, of which 151 have already been sold, have neither planning permission nor a bank guarantee which could ensure repayment of quantities, which have been handed over to Aifos by purchasers.
This causes obvious concern in those who have signed either purchase or reservation contracts, and are waiting with uncertainty about news of their money and properties.
