A couple of weeks after Aifos started the works of the new development renamed as Naranjos Country Club, the Town Hall of Coin has decided to stop all property development in the area in which it was projected the construction of a thousand luxury properties and a golf course, in virtue of the agreement between the former government in charge of the Town Hall and the development company Pompano Woods, which caused the objection of the opposing party and the environmental groups due to the danger of contamination of the aquifer that supplies Coin.
As it has been confirmed, the Town Hall has approved a decree forbidding any works to be conducted at this location, and will continue to maintain this ban until the planning regulations are modified. The Developer Aifos has assured that their project does not include a golf course, claim done after the decision of Town Hall to stop the works.
This is the last of a long list of irregularities conducted by Aifos and other developers, that once again are finding the strong opposition of many different social groups very concerned with how the building of these massive developments are affecting the environment in the area.
