Marisol Yague (Mayor of Marbella) has demanded the immediate suspension of the construction of 45 apartments in Guadalmina Alta, El Mirador de Guadalmina. She has made this decision after seeing a report from the Town Inspection Services. The experts say that the property development company PROSAVI S.L. was building without a licence and was not complying with the necessary stipulations.
The inspectors believe such an occurrence is clearly an infraction against the laws of town planning. The mentioned decree was brought to the developerīs attention when warned in writing that he was building illegitimately and that action was going to be taken.
The Town Hall order stipulated that if they do not take heed of the warning, they should prepare themselves for the confiscation of their building machinery and equipment, the cost of which will come out of the developerīs pocket.
Likewise, the Town Hall guarantees that the breach of this suspension order will lead to successive compulsory fines to be paid every ten days, the amount due equalling 10% of the value of the property being built (each time it is paid).
