- "Caso Belmonsa" - an alleged town planning offence
Jesús Gil (former Mayor of Marbella) is being accused of alleged town planning offences but Isabel García Marcos (acting Mayor of Marbella) will only charge him if some evidence of his crimes are detected by the District Attorney. García Marcos has warned that the Town Hall will have to be present at the hearings so as to find out if they are responsible for any of this damage, such as the Belmonsa building which does not comply with the PGOU. She reiterated her loyalty and commitment to the citizens and her desire for town planning legality in the town.
With regard to the PGOU (town planning law) of Marbella, she knows that there are technical difficulties on how to categorise the zones in the area. In order to re-write the PGOU, a team of expert architects is required and if they are not available, they will have to be hired to do the job.
