The developer of Regencia Alcaidesa Playa – Pierre René Elbas – is one of ten people imprisoned by order of Marbella Courts. Elbas is seemingly an associate of the Chilean lawyer Del Valle, who was also detained for alleged money laundering.
The development is among those being scrutinised by the police. The chalets have been sold but not registered because this legal intervention will mean major delays in any deals to be made and the purchasers could possibly lose them. Del Valle seems to be involved with other developers who have built properties over the last few years. According to recent investigations, it is estimated that he is involved in the foundation of 500 trading companies, presumably established with money earned from illegal activities.
